About ARAE
The Association for Radio Astronomy in Education aims to encourage and support the use of
radio telescopes in post-15 education in physics, astronomy and technology related subjects
The ARAE was officially formed in 2000 and originated from the Taunton Radio Astronomy Observatory,
Somerset, England. It now operates as a registered charity (number 1085125) under the auspices
of a committee of trustees chaired by Dr Paul Scott of MRAO Cambridge
ARAE works to transfer the knowledge and skills offered through the science of radio astronomy into
the educational environment. Are you involved in post 15 education in science, technology, astronomy,
